Outcome 3b

Utilize resources or tools to manage information.

For LIS 886, Records and Information Management, our final assignment was to imagine ourselves as a new hire at a fictional University in the position of Director of Records and Information Management, and create an outline for a comprehensive records management plan at the institution. The scenario for this exercise had the University follow an outdated and very lax records management plan that exposed it to legal liability as well as administrative inefficiency and worked dissatisfaction. We used the concepts that we learned in the class, such as retention cycles, risk management, and legal discovery.
